Bad-Ass! Police Stop Interrogation After Suspect won’t Stop Farting
A suspect in Kansas may just have figured out an effective way of evading police questioning…by farting your way out!
In a rather bizarre turn, it emerged that police in Kansas were forced to stop an interrogation because the suspect – Sean Sykes Jr – wouldn’t stop farting when he faced the cops.
Sykes was taken in for questioning in September over gun and drug charges, only the interrogation had to end early due to his flatulence, Metro writes.
According to local newspaper the Kansas City Star, Sykes “leaned to one side of his chair and released a loud fart” when asked his address. The cops weren’t going to be there for long.
“Mr. Sykes continued to be flatulent and I ended the interview,” a detective wrote.
Details of his interview after he was brought in for questioning two months ago showed Sykes, 24, denied knowledge of the items and police decided not to charge him for intent to sell cocaine and being in possession of a firearm.
He was however released, only to be pulled over a second time this month in Kansas City when police found a backpack with drugs and two handguns during a search of his car.
Sadly for Sykes, one of the guns, a .357 Magnum, had been reported stolen a few days before, and he’s now been charged with stolen firearm offences and possession with intent to sell cocaine.
While Sykes is kept in custody until a bond is set, one can’t help but wonder if his farting stunt would work in Nigeria, where you are presumed guilty until proven otherwise.
This also comes after the much-loved Nigeria Police Force (NPF) was rated ‘worst’ in the world.
The police have since slammed the ratings as baseless and inaccurate but once again, they and Nigerians they are sworn to protect, seem not to agree on minor issues.
