2019 Election: Buhari’s Campaign Posters Flood Abuja
Amidst the controversy surrounding the health of President Muhammadu Buhari, his re-election posters yesterday flooded major roads in Abuja.
The posters, which were carefully pasted and displayed at strategic positions within the federal capital territory (FCT) carries the inscription; “Nigerians resolve: Buhari 2019,” along the Central District, Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport road as well as Wuse District of the FCT.
While stakeholders had continued to advise that the ailing president forget about the presidency for now and concentrate on his health, some of his aides and supporters had argued that the president was healthy enough to seek for a second term.
Buhari, who had missed three consecutive Federal Executive Council (FEC) meetings over his health, was also conspicuously absent at the wedding of his grandson at the weekend, a situation which raised concerns over his health and comments by All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders, like the former interim National Chairman of the party, Chief Bisi Akande.
Akande, in statement issued on Monday in Osun State, advised those working with the president to stop feasting on the ill-health of the president.
