The Syrian Army says it has recaptured the ancient city of Palmyra from
Islamic State. The army said the move was achieved with help from allied
forces and Russian air strikes.

advanced inside Palmyra on Thursday after Islamic State pulled its
fighters out of the city, a war monitoring group said.
